About Richard Ek, LUTCF

I have been a life insurance agent since 1975 when I entered the business in my hometown of San Diego, California. Our family moved to Everett, Washington in 1980. I have been an active member of the premier professional organization for insurance agents, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) from the start. I have been active as a leader and served as President of the Snohomish County Association of NAIFA in 2000 and again in 2004. I am currently the State Chair for NAIFAPAC. I have qualified as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).

From 1981 to 1989 I served as a trainer for the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA), a program that operates under the auspices of the Office of Insurance Commissioner in Olympia, WA. I do a lot of platform speaking engagements before civic groups, retired citizens and insurance agents on a variety of topics.

The Life Underwriters Training Council awarded me the designation LUTCF in 1992. I earned the CSA designation (Certified Senior Advisor) from the American College in 2005.

About My Services

I am an independent insurance agent. My work involves helping families and small businesses solve problems that can be addressed with insurance. I sell a lot of life insurance and have delivered proceeds checks in excess of $6,500,000 to individual beneficiaries and businesses.

Because of my access to many insurance companies I can find coverage for almost anyone regardless of age, health or occupation. In fact, among my clients are other insurance agents who have come to me for help in setting up their personal life insurance and health insurance coverage.
